JOB SUMMARY:
This position proactively develops customer opportunities products and services in the market place.  Utilizing technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation. Driving proposal generation, through order fulfillment on the target customers determined by the outside sales team (Sales Managers, Business development Managers, Regional Managers, Manufacture Representatives) during the onboarding process.  
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Proactively make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop proposals of products and services in an effective manner to ensure sales opportunities for products & services
  • Drive from Inside proactive demand creation on target accounts and leads
  • Obtaining & coordinating data & information from Product Support, Regional Managers and Representatives for opportunities
  • following up on sales leads and making cold calls on potential customers
  • Follow up on Quotes
  • Guiding RM and Representative to qualified calls
  • maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
  • Collaborating with operations & RM to establish a communication path with the customer
B. Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner to ensure the meeting of specific quota goals and the generation of revenue
  • developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products & services
  • making presentations to OEMs, End Users, or Distributors
  • developing technical presentations & workshops in the training of employees, Representatives and Distributors
  • making regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads
C. Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner to ensure effective market planning & continued revenue stream
  • researching, developing & maintaining long & short range sales & marketing plans
  • maintaining an up-to-date awareness of strategic plans and procedures to coordinate market plans
  • monitoring, analyzing, & communicating monthly sales via Salesforce.com
 
Major Challenges
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of Products & Services
  • Working with a wide variety of individuals
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field 
  • Well-developed Phone, email, social blog sales skills
  • Know the interaction of 3rd party products in regards to STOBER in a Mechatronic system
  • Strong Motion Control Electro Mechanical and Power Transmission Knowledge
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Social Technology Savvy: GoToMeeting, SalesForce.com, LinkedIn
  • In-depth knowledge of target market industries and machine types
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time

PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:
The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee often is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to sit and must be able to fly in an airplane. The employee must occasionally lift and or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include: close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
